Overview
Backup Mac OS X data to a LINUX system while preserving various Mac OS X meta data is a possibility.
Setup Advice
- Setup a local backup on Mac OS X into a sparsebundel.
- Configure rsync to synchronize or LBackup to backup this sparsebundle onto the LINUX system.
- It is important that the disk image is not mounted when you synchronize or backup the sparsebundle.
- It is recommended that you pull and start the backup from the backup server.
